Some examples are: Guinness; Beamish Stout; Murphy's Irish Stout; Ohara's Celtic Stout; Harp Lager; Kinsale Irish Lager;Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale; Murphy's Irish Red; and Smithwick's Irish Ale.

Despite being a pub favorite on St. Patrick's Day in America, Black & Tans are not commonly drunk in Ireland. A Black & Tan is Guinness Draught and Bass Ale mixed together by filling half a pint glass with the ale then slowly pouring the Guinness into the glass over the back of a spoon to layer the beers.

If you're looking for something cool to wear on St. Patrick's Day, stores like Spencer's and Hot Topic usually put together green themed clothing options around the holiday.

For the ladies (and those men) who don't want to chug beer or drink straight whiskey, try a St. Paddy's Girl. Mix a shot of each of the following together in a blender: Bailey's Irish Creme; Kahlua; Irish Whiskey; and espresso. Blend the ingredients together until the concoction is creamy. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
