Default EBay Tips

The best way to learn how EBay works is to buy something off of EBay. This will give you a feel for what your potential customers will be feeling when they are buying what you have to sell.

There is no sure fire way to know if your item is going to sell for what you hope it will sell for. Your best bet is to put it out there and hope for the best.

If you are going to be selling things and making a job out of it, get a sales tax number. Contact your local government to learn how to go about getting this.

Build your credibility. At the end of each transaction the buyer rates the person or company that sells them what they purchased. The more positive ratings and repeat customers you can get the better off you are.

The best way to grab a customer’s attention to buy what you have instead of what everyone else has is to have a great headline and description. Make sure that the description is accurate and has key words that a customer is looking for in regards to your kind of product.

Want to really make the sale on Ebay? Have a mouth-watering picture. You know those commercials with the close up of the cheeseburgers? It makes you want to eat one right then and there. Well, have a similar mouth-watering, quality photo of your product and your customers will be that much more enticed to buy.

Make sure you know what the listing fees are before you finish your listing. For example, you'll find that putting a "Reserve Price" on an auction is quite expensive.

Exclamation Pricing

Before listing your product, take a few moments to see what price other sellers have your product listed for, so that you can try to be competitive. Just as important, search the "Completed Listings" for your product to see what prices the product has been successfully selling for on eBay. When looking at Completed Listings, the red prices are listings that didn't sell. The green prices show successful sales!
