Put your kids first! You will never get these years back. No matter how exciting your business idea is, there is nothing more important than being there for your children. They need you and they're counting on you to be a good mom. Do not ignore them when they walk in and you're working. Do not be short with them because you are trying to concentrate. It's not their fault. They're just being kids. That's what kids do. When the stress rises, walk away from the work and tend to your children. You can go back to the work at any time.

Make sure the company you want to work for isn't a scam. If they have a proven track record of success then they are a good choice.

If you are starting your own business, make sure you have someone you know helping you along the way that knows what you need to do! Having a mentor is always great when you have important decisions to make so you can get your business on the right foot.

Even though you are working at home you should still set up office hours. In doing this, your family knows the times you are working. Having office hours will also make sure you have time for your family.

Realize that not everything is cheap or free. Starting a business is a rough track and will cost money, especially at the beginning days. But if you keep with it, it can pay out in the end.

Plan ahead and have some fun activities for the kids to do while you're working.
